A: We use sustainably sourced, slow-grown Scandinavian Redwood. Its high growth-ring density provides superior structural strength, durability, and resistance to warping compared to fast-grown budget pine or MDF.

A: We offer a Fully Replaceable Parts Guarantee. Because all our beds are modular and handcrafted in our UK workshop, you can order individual replacement components at any time rather than having to buy a whole new bed frame.

A: No. Unlike flatpack furniture that uses cam locks or screws driven into particle board, our frames utilize heavy-duty, precision-machined steel hardware seated into dense Scandinavian Redwood. This eliminates frame movement and prevents squeaking.

A: Yes. Our beds are specifically designed for modern hybrid mattresses. We use thick, closely spaced solid wood slats with less than 6 cm spacing, ensuring your mattress receives edge-to-edge support while keeping your 10-year manufacturer warranty fully valid.

A: Our solid Scandinavian Redwood bed frames are engineered to support over 250kg (without central rail), including the combined weight of a heavy hybrid mattress and two sleepers, without sagging or bowing.

A: At The Honest Plank, we take pride in crafting sustainable, handmade beds with exceptional care right here in the UK. We offer a 14-day return window starting from the day you receive your bed, during which you can return standard beds if they do not meet your expectations. However, because each custom bed is uniquely designed and tailored just for you, custom orders are non-refundable and not eligible for returns.
